There is an urgent need for European-level guidance on HIV testing and counselling. Er is dringend behoefte aan advies over hiv-tests en counseling op Europees niveau. We must only propose and adopt legislation on the basis of good counsel and good experience. Wij moeten wetgeving alleen voorstellen en aannemen op basis van verstandig advies en gedegen ervaring. This is why we need standards in this area, quality standards and standards relating, for example, to counselling. This Parliament will give them some advice in its resolution today, and I hope they will take notice.
