As you know, on 26 October, President Ahmadinejad addressed a conference in Tehran on the subject of a world without Zionism. De verwijzing naar de Holocaust werd behouden terwijl de formule "zionisme staat gelijk met racisme" werd geschrapt. Dat waren ook onze voorwaarden voor een consensus. A reference to the Holocaust was retained, whereas the equation 'Zionism equals racism' disappeared, as these were among the conditions and prerequisites. Het is al ontstellend dat een president überhaupt een toespraak houdt op een conferentie met de titel “De wereld zonder zionisme” en dan mogelijk ook nog zulke uitlatingen doet. It is in itself staggering enough for a president to address a conference with the theme of ‘a world without Zionism’ and to express himself in such terms.
